There’s this secret bar in Poblacion, Makati. It is inspired by the subway stops of the city of Seoul. It may not be evident but his secret door of Gaja will lead you right inside The Odd Seoul. A bottle of Soju will be your key and will lead you to this dark and full of neon lights bar.
The inside is a bit small but well ventilated. There’s different drinks and cocktails at the Odd Seoul which was drawn from bits and pieces of South Korean pop culture. I really am digging all the names and not just the names but the tastes as well. My favorite would be the Odd. I don’t have a photo of it but that really stand out to me. The Smoking Tiger and Kimchi Sour would be next as there’s an interesting sourly flavor that you can taste on your cocktail.
Soju and Yakult – this is one of the easiest drink and I myself can make. You just need a bottle of Soju and 2 Bottles of Yakult.
Smoking Tiger (Php250) – Soju, Cherry, Guava, Smoke, Lemon Juice. This was so interesting as it needs to be placed inside a cylinder to have the smoke come through to the drink. It really adds a smoky flavor in it.
Kimchi Sour (Php280) – Soju, Kimchi, Almond, Lemon Juice, Egg White, Dried Rice – I find this really interesting. I kept on sipping on this all night.
Yogurt lady (Php250) – Soju, Vodka, Yakult, Melona, Aloe Vera Juice. There’s ice cream in it so that gives you an idea already. For girls whose not very much into alcohol. I highly suggest to order this.
My Sassy Girl (Php280) – Soju, Passionfruit, Almond, Salted Pineapple, Mango Liqueue. This is such a nice drink. It was very fruity and refreshing.
Try The Odd Seoul the soonest. They have the best music, food and drinks! I really believe that The Odd Seoul is the next place to be in on a Weekend in Poblacion.
So, are you ready to find the odd one in everyone? 😉
