When I think of Binondo, it’s a must that I take home some Eng Bee Tin Hopia with me. What’s exciting is that Eng Bee Tin recently built a 3 story building that sells all their pastries. Not only that but they also have some souvenir items and cafe in it.

I really got excited when I received an invitation from The Great Buddha Café as their the makers of these classic and crazy-delicious Hopia that we all love.
First floor is where you can grab all your favorite Hopia flavors and other pastries.

Second floor is where The Great Buddha Cafe is situated. It’s very spacious that can fit 50 – 60 persons. The place is roomy. It has some indication that it’s fairly new, but I liked that it was really clean and organized.
The other side has all the souvenir items you can buy.
On the other side is where tables and chairs are allocated for its diners.
Third floor is currently being prepared to be a Museum.
The staff were all smiles and attentive during our stay. Here are the food that I was able to try.
Pork and Shrimp Siomai (Php128) – 4 super stuffed Siomai. It contains 70% shrimp. This is definitely the best of all Siomai I’ve tasted by far.
Han Sui Kok – sticky rice dumplings. The outside tasted just like Tikoy but has a savory ground pork filling.
Beef Tendon Claypot Rice (Php260) – The tendon was so soft. It was cooked so well that you’d feel like eating a marshmallow. It was cooked for long hours that’s why the flavor just burst.
1/2 Soy Chicken with Ginger Sauce – Chicken was juicy and the soy flavor seeps through.
1/2 HK Style Honey Asad0 – Tender meat marinated in a Chinese sauce. It has sweet-savory taste that will want you to have more rice.
Golden Custard Buchi (Php98)
Peanut Balls – sticky rice with ground peanut inside.
Cream Cheese Nai Cha (Php130) – Milk tea with cream cheese. I like the sweetness and little bit of saltiness in this drink. It added some creaminess and I find it refreshing.
You might want to check out some other food that they offer as well.
I definitely will be back here soon as I believe that they’re one of the best in the area already. Highly recommended if you wanted a chill and relaxing ambiance. It’s also great for family as the servings were fair and just right with its price.
