Rossini is an Italian Restaurant located in S Maison. With Mr. Thomas Moersheim, same owner of Buona Vita, it also offers authentic Italian cuisine to its patrons. It was pretty obvious that they will focus more in this restaurant that’s why they closed its doors recently.
Ambiance is definitely one of a kind, having a modern furniture and lighting, the ocean-view made an impact to its location. I can see myself eating here along while enjoying this picturesque view.
Here’s the food that we’re able to try:
Salmone Marinato con Spuma di Formaggio Tartufata (Php950) – Home cured Norwegian Salmon with home-made Italian truffle mousse.
This piece of art definitely is one delicious treat. Salmon was definitely fresh and that truffle mousse was to die for.
Insalata Rossini (Php490) – there’s arugula, lettuce, artichokes hearts, asparagus with some white and black truffle oil. So simple yet so hearty!
Burrata (Php730) – Fresh Mozzarella cheese filled wiht cream served with fresh fruits, mixed green salad, cherry tomato and extra virgin olive oil
Just what I said, this is the best Burrata that I’ve tasted. They make sure to get only the freshest from their supplier. The fruits and vegetables added more flavors and texture to this dish.
Prosciutto e Rucola (Php650) – Tomato, Mozzarella, Parma Ham and fresh Arugula.
They make their dough from scratch and I’ve always been a fan of their pizzas. The Prosciutto, sauce and cheese were generously applied on top of it, too.
Pasta Corta al Ragu di Filetto di Mnzo e Porcini (Php560) – Knife cut beef tenderloin ragout with dried Italian Porcini, fresh rosemary and tomato sauce
This dish is what made me sad when I heard that Buona Vita will be closing. But good thing, there’s one here in Rossini! That’s al dente pasta with ground beef tenderloin, ragout with dried Italian porcini, rosemary and tomato sauce. Yum!
Risotto Ai Funghi Porcini A Tartufo Nero – with dried Italian porcini, black fresh truffle and white truffle oil
Another surefire hit of Rossini. The way it was cooked was has a bite back and it sticks to the bowl which indicates that it was perfectly cooked.
Grigliata Mista di Pesce “Reale” – (Php3650) – Calamari, Salmon, King Prawns, US-Scallops,Tuna, Baked Potatoes and mixed garden vegetables with lemon butter sauce
Seafood is a hit or miss. It can easily destruct one dish if not done right. Rossini made sure that the Seafood were perfectly cooked and maintained its freshness.
Grigliata Mista di Carne (Php3000) – Certified Angus Beef Tenderloin, Pork Tenderloin, Italian Sausage, Chicken Breast, roasted potatoes and mixed buttered garden vegetables with home made gravy sauce
For the carnivores, this platter will surely satisfy you immensely. Each meat cooked on point. That Angus Steak? Medium Rare just like how I wanted it to be. Even that potato chips on the side? Addicting!
To end this lovely meal, an Italian desserts definitely made us all, wow!
Tiramisu alla Rossini (Php350) – Italian lady fingers soaked in espresso and Amaretto, layered with home-made Mascarpone Ice Cream
Cannoli Siciliani (Php170) – Open Sicilan crispy cocoa cone filled with sweetened Ricotta cheese
Both desserts were great and highly recommended. If you can get two, that’s much better.
Overall experience was amazing. With the superb service and delicious food, I’m sure you’d be having a great time should you decide to visit them. And please make that soon.
