Are you ready for some boodle fight? This is what Petra & Pilar currently offers and it’s just so exciting as we, Filipinos love this type of food. The come-together, fiesta feel and the overflowing food is what I’m saying.
Petra & Pilar is a restaurant/bar in Urban Avenue, Makati. The bar area has a tropical vibe complete with coconut woods. It’s big enough to sit up to 100 persons. There’s al fresco area in here, too.
If you’re in for some live music, this is definitely a good spot.
It’s good news that they open as early at 7am to 12 midnight on a Mondays – Thursdays and Fridays, will be up to 2am. Sadly, they’re closed on Saturdays and Sundays.
Here’s their Barkada Boodle Menu that we got to try. They sampled us with dishes that are included on the Barkada Menu and/or a separate order.
Pancit Habhab, Chicken Pork Adobo, Pork BBQ, Hilabos na hipon, Kropek, Garlic Rice, Pineapple Tomato salad in Crab Fat, Itlog na Maalat, and Saging Con Yelo.
Pancit Bihon, Chicken Wings, Inihaw na Liempo, Ensaladang Mangga with bagoong, Spicy Tahong, Kropek, Bagoong Rice, and Buko Pandan
Pancit Canton, Fried Calamari, Breaded Porkchop, Chicken Inasal, Kropek, Crab Fat Rice, Ensaladang Talong with Bagoong, and Fresh Fruit.
There’s also more food that were not included on this set but you can order separately.
You see, there’s so much food on the table. All tasted amazing with some dishes are either salty like the Salpicao and others much better with sauces. But overall, the food were such literally, a feast! I have my favorites such as Porchetta with Lechon sauce, it just tasted so good. The juicy pork and crispy skin dipped in Lechon sauce is a winner. Also, I’m a seafood type of person so the Shrimp, Calamari and Mussels were all fresh and nicely cooked. The Liempo and Chicken tasted great, too. And aside from all the food, I also got to enjoy the fresh fruits like Mango, Watermelon and Pineapple. Perfect to end the meal.
What’s amazing is that these Barkada Boodle costs only Php999. That’s good for 4-5 persons already. Make sure to call an hour before for advance order.
Aside from the Barkada Boodle they also have cocktails up for grabs. We tried their summer special:
Gin and house made spicy Ginger syrup
Just the right amount of gin in here. Perfect refreshment too.
Vodka with House made Coconut and Lemongrass Syrup
Lambanog Base with Fresh Pineapple and Mango
Fresh Pomelo, Tequila and house made Bay Leaf Syrup
My personal favorite would be the Gin Cala. The alcohol level was just right and the simplicity of this drink is what I liked the most.
The night was so fun and we really enjoyed all the food that were placed on our table. It just kept coming out while there’s a band playing 90’s music that we surely can relate to.
Please drop by and try these Barkada Boodle. I assure you that you will have a great time.
