With Executive Chef Kensuke Sakai, here he is holding one of the best Miyazaki Gyu Steak. With the good marbling of the steak, we definitely know we’re in for a treat.
We started the meal with some appetizer such as Soba and Sukiyaki Salad, Sushi, Maki Sushi and Steak Tartare. I enjoyed each and one of these and I was really amazed by how the steak were cooked in different ways and still tastes great in each dish.
Soba and Sukiyaki Salad (Php 500) – Soba noodles cooked two ways, vegetables, thinly sliced sukiyaki beef, crispy beef fat, thinly sliced Japanese leek, and drizzled with Soba sauce.
Maki Sushi – Miyazaki Beef Rolls. Japanese rice with beef and sesame seeds.
Sushi – Torched Miyazaki Beef over Japanese sushi rice.
Steak Tartare (Php600) – chopped raw Miyazaki Beef served with Baguettes.
For the mains, there are lots of choices, if you’re into seafood and beef, you may choose the Beef and Reef for that perfect combination. The Seafood has a tomato sauce that tastes a bit sweet for me but it did blend well with the savory taste of the prawn and beef.
Beef and Reef (Php 2,200) – Seared Miyazaki Beef , and garlic butter prawns.
For people whose into rice, there are few dishes that have some. I personally enjoyed the Minced Beef Box, the beef were marinated in somewhat sweet and savory sauce. Beef Katsu tasted great as well. It was cooked perfectly and is moist and tender.
Beef Katsu (Php900) – Breaded Miyazaki Beef on top of steamed Japanese Rice.
Minced Beef Box (Php 1300) – Ground Miyazaki Beef over steamed Japanese Rice and served with egg.
If you’ll ask me what’s the Japanese food I usually order in a restaurant, it would be Sukiyaki. Chef was generous enough to show us how he cook Sukiyaki his way. It was one of the best Sukiyaki I’ve had.
Sukiyaki (Premier Php 1,800, Grand Php 2,200, Combination Php 2,000) – Thinly sliced Miyazaki beef served with vegetables.
Premium meat cuts. The Yakiniku Mix Platter (Php 5,000). This includes five 60g servings of Top Round, Knuckle, Clod, Chuck Roll, and Short Ribs.
Now, for the love of Steak, I suggest that you order this platter as this will indeed satisfy your cravings for beef.
Overall experience was superb! It may not be budget-friendly but definitely worth visiting.
