Kiapo is a Filipino restaurant located inside Okada. They offer comfort food that we love without any frills. If you’ll be dining, bring in a little patience as this place tends to be jam-packed than most of the restaurants in here.
The ambiance is well lit and spacious but tends to be crowded since it is located inside the Casino.
For the food, I find the prices steep for its serving size. I can literally finish one dish by myself.
Bulalo (Php450) – The beef were tender and vegetables were cooked nicely. I just find the soup salty.
Pancit Canton (Php390) – Noodles were cooked really nice. It was tasty and I highly recommend this if you love Pancit Canton. Make sure to pair it with either rice or bread as again, I find it salty, too.
Pork Ribs (Php460) – The Ribs fell short on tenderness. I was looking for a fall-of-the-bones with the meat well marinated with its sauce but that didn’t happen.
Chicharon Bulaklak (Php330) – Love this appetizer. Even though it sat still for quiet some time, it was still crispy and sinfully good.
Lemongrass Chicken Wings (Php400) – I thought it has the same sauce with the Ribs. If the Ribs did not meet my expectation, this chicken does. It was fried perfectly and coated with sweet and spicy sauce that’s really addicting.
Our dining experience overall was good. The servers were a bit slow though. You had to ask twice to follow up on your request.
