There’s a new bar in the South called Havana Club La Bodeguita Del Medio. It’s a Cuban inspired restaurant/bar which features Cuban dishes and drinks that you will surely enjoy. They’re relatively new and only 5 months old to date but with what they offer, it seemed like they’ve been around for some time.

With it’s location, you will be surprised with it’s posh ambiance. Black couches, metal stools, wood walls, Cuban-inspired paraphernalia, pretty chandeliers.
Nachos Grande (Php295) – that’s flavorful ground beef, creamy cheese sauce, onion, tomato and jalapeno served with pico de gallo sauce. The tortilla chips was soft and crispy, too. This appetizer is just perfect.

Mariscos Pizza – pizza with loads of seafood such as mussel, clams and squid. The crust was chewy and crispy at the same time. I love the generous amount of cheese that was put into this.

Gambas Al Ajillo (Php305) – the garlic shrimp cooked in olive oil, with crushed red pepper and green olives. I love anything shrimp so I am going to be biased in stating that this would be my favorite dish here.

Mussels Sisig (Php420) – deep fried mussels, sauteed in butter, onion, garlic and mayo with salted egg. The mussels were crunchy and buttery. This will be perfect with beer.

Parillada de Pollo (Php395) – grilled half boneless chicken topped with onion rings and served with sweet corn, fried platanos and pico de gallo with aioli sauce. The chicken smelled so good and it was tender and full of flavor.

Majito Cubano (Php240) – A traditional Cuban Poco Grande. Nojito is a cocktail that consists of five ingredients: white rum, sugar (traditionally sugar cane juice), lime juice, soda water and mint. I would have this anytime of the day. It has the right amount of alcohol but enough to have that kick in this small glass.
