There’s a new hotel and restaurant in Tagaytay that you will love. With its airy and open space, you’d feel relax as its posh ambiance is inviting which might make you stay for a day. Girasol means “sunflower”. Just like the a warm sunshine, they promises to provide dishes that are crafted with the finest ingredients that elicit a sense of adventure but also reminiscent of home.
This place is perfect for families or with big groups. They have spacious event space as well for any occasions. Second floor has an amazing view, too.
They have delectable dishes that’s familiar yet has an eloquent style. With its superb plating, you’re in for an amazing dining treat.

Quattro Formaggi
Margherita
For the Pizza, we had Margherita, Mushroom Pepperoni, and Quattro Formaggi. The pizza somewhat had that ‘biscuit dough’ which were thin and crispy. I am not a fan of this kind of dough but they made it quite good. Generous toppings on each flavorful pizza.
Tomato Bolognese
Seafood Verdure
Pancetta and Mushroom
For the Pasta, we ordered Tomato Bolognese, Seafood Verdure, and Pancetta and Mushroom. Each pasta were cooked al dente and its sauces were on point. My favorite would be the Pancetta and Mushroom, for it has that creamy and satisfying flavors. Simple yet eloquent, indeed. But Tomato and Bolognese had that Italian flavor that I can’t forget, though.
Chicken and Blue Cheese Risotto
Prawn Risotto
Risotto is one of my favorite Italian dishes and I could say that Girasol did not disappoint. Risotto were cooked with bite back that’s perfectly cooked. Flavors were done so well that I can’t decided which ones were my favorite. But since I love Prawn, I suggest that you order this one. Its creamy sauce were just delicious.
Eggs Benedict
Crispy Fried Chicken
For breakfast, they also offer the kids’ favorite Crispy Fried Chicken that somehow has the same taste with one famous fast-food chain. The Eggs Benedict had perfectly poached egg and the bacon were crispy that’s truly addicting. I also got to try Pinaso, the famous delicacy from Bulacan which was made from eggs, milk, biscuits topped with sugar. It was then torched to give that smoky flavor. It somehow looked like pudding but has that flan taste. I really love this dessert and I am looking forward in having some when I come back here.
Pinaso
They do have a wine cellar downstairs. Great location for intimate gathering. Choose different kinds of wine paired with delicious food mentioned above.
For one memorable dining experience, head on to Girasol and enjoy the food they offer. I promise, you’ll love it as much as I did.
