Located in Westgate, Alabang, Da Gianni’s offers Italian food dishes that’s been served in the Guidecelli’s household for years. The recipe was passed on to their households who were able to master the techniques on cooking Italian food the way they wanted.

Da Gianni is Matteo Guidecelli’s grandfather. This restaurant is a tribute to the main man to honor him. Most of the displays such as the movie posters and other memorabilia belonged to him.
That’s crispy on the outside, yet tender meat on the inside. This taste much better when dipped to its sauce.
The dish that got me ‘wow.’ The bread was flaky and the sauce was so creamy, it was such a perfect match.

Formaggio Tomino (Php380) – Grilled Tomino cheese wrapped in prosciutto and served with arugula and cherry tomatoes
Polpo Salad (Php465) – Grilled octopus, mangoes, potato, olives, red radish, arugula in a lemon vinaigrette dressing
This Salad is refreshing and the Octopus was grilled perfectly. It has a sweet-savory and smoky flavor to this Salad.

Quattro Formaggi (Php520) – Four cheese topped with truffle paste

I love anything with truffle and I must say that all the dishes that has truffle here in Da Gianni’s are the best including this pizza. You can’ be wrong with this.
Carnevale (Php950) – Salami milano, bacon, salsiccia, meatballs, prosciutto cotto, and angus striploin

This thin-crust pizza is loaded with 5 kinds of meat. Add the cheese and tomato sauce to have that authentic Italian flavor.

Grilled Tenderloin (Php1600) – Organic, grass-fed and 21-day wet-aged beef served with grilled vegetables

The meat was succulent in every bite. It was well-done and I couldn’t ask for anything more to this. It was really good! The vegetables and all the spices and herbs just burst in your mouth, too.

DESSERTS
You must not leave Da Gianni’s without having some of their desserts, I am telling you now. They have one of the best!
Tiramisu Espresso Ala Nonna (Php490) – savoyardi ladyfingers, coffee, mascarpone cream and cacao.

Coppo Tri Cioccilati(Php450) – there’s silky dark milk and white chocolate mousse with some hazelnut crunch

Aside from all the scrumptious food, nice ambiance, all the staff was knowledgeable about a thing or two with the dishes. I’d definitely be coming back to taste more of what they offer. I must say that this is by far, the best Italian Restaurant in the South that I’ve been to.
Special shout-out to Matteo for doing a pose with us. 😀 😀 😀
