Sophisticated and classy, that’s how I would describe Churchill. With the comfy couches and nice bar set-up, it is indeed a great place to relax. This place might look intimidating but they offer reasonable prices with their cocktails and bar chows.
There’ a lot of rare alcohol available here. If you wanted more information of what to get, Chef John Kingston will be more than willing to tell you what and why you should get it. There’s premium alcohol here that’s no longer available in the market and that stopped production. So alcohol enthusiasts can rejoice!
We got to try some of their famous cocktails and here’s my take on it.
Gin and Tonic (Php 360) – consist of gin and tonic water, this is my personal favorite cocktail and theirs did not disappoint. There’s slices of lemon and cucumber with rosemary which made the smell so enticing!
Old Fashioned (Php 350) – This is good for people who enjoy bourbon. With angustura bitters, this can surely satisfy people with high tolerance for alcohol.
The Churchill (Php 300) – Has a sweet-like taste. Just a right amount of alcohol. This has Scotch Whiskey, Lime Juice, Sweet Warmouth and Cointreau.
Licensed To Chill (Php 300) – This cocktail is available on Thursdays only. This has a very light alcohol content. This is as refreshing as it looks. I would love this with lots of ice.
For the food, there’s definitely a lot to choose from and from what he had, I could tell that they definitely serve scrumptious pica-pica to pair with your alcohol.
Crispy Fried Onion Rings (Php 290) – That tower of deep-fried onions. The smell was so inviting. I definitely enjoyed this chow as it was crispy but not too harsh when chewes. Served with hot cheese sauce.
Pan Style Nachos Topped With Chili Con Carne (Php 290) – Their Nachos seemed familiar but the taste was authentically original. This includes guacamole, sour cream, chopped jalapeno and hot cheese sauce.
International Cheese Board Selection (Php750) – With this, you need to ask the server which one is available for the day. This is perfect for wine in my opinion but a glass of nice cocktail will also do.
This place would be much nicer with good company. I can’t wait to bring my friends here to experience classy sophistication while munching on great food and amazing cocktails.
