When it comes to Milk Tea, we all know that Taiwan first originated this tea-based drink with creamy milk and some chewy tapioca balls also knows as boba. Having said that, I was glad that this Milk Tea place is a franchise from Taiwan – I know that I’m in for some great milk tea treat.
The ambiance is modern and chic with its neon lights, comfy sofas and pastel hues. It is homey and relaxing as it looks. They also have attentive staff you assist you with your needs.
Aside for their Milk Tea, there are food items as well to pair your favorite flavored Milk Tea.
Taiwan Braised Pork Rice (Php200) – The small cuts of pork drenched in sweet and salty sauce. I was just overwhelmed by the flavor of star anise as it was too strong for me.
Chicken Pops (Php120) – that’s chicken bites flavored so well and fried perfectly. It was soft and crispy and I got to enjoy munching on it a lot.
Taro Milk Tea Smoothie (Php140) – The taro was fresh and made into a paste. It has a thick texture yet the milk tea balances its richness flavors. Good to order if you want fresh Taro.
Black Frost Charcoal Milk Tea (Php130) – for the hot tea lovers, you will be surprised as there are more option here for you. For instance, we ordered this drink which smelled too good to be true. The taste was great, I am just taken aback by its smell as it smelled like aroma beads.
Oreo Milk Tea Brulee (Php140) – I love Oreo and this is my usual order. I did not regret having one here. Their version is good! It was creamy with its strong tea flavor. The creme brulee was just right as it added thickness in it.
Mango Graham Eggette (Php190) – That’s one tasty Eggette. Perfect pair to any drinks, do you agree? Eleven would agree.
So far, I am loving the ambiance and the Milk Tea here at Black Sugar, I just think they need to improve more on the food.
