Barcino is known for their authentic Spanish dishes and the way they celebrate its cuisine and culture. With its chic and modern design, you will truly feel like a local having a fine dining experience in Spain.
Barcino will launch their Desayuno, a Spanish Breakfast on November 24. With this, us Filipino can truly enjoy our favorite meal of the day.
The usual way to enjoy Desayuno in Spain is having some Cava (Spanish Wine).
Desayuno takes inspiration from Barcelona, where each visit is an experience that one would truly remember. A step inside Desayuno feels like a garden on a rosy morning, with family and friends gathered around the table sharing stories along with hearty dishes. This is what they aim your experience to be.
Muesli con Frutas Frescas (Php360) – Assorted Fruit Bowl served with House-made Cultured Milk, Chia Seeds, Granola, and Fried Berries
Fruitas de Temporada (Php300) – Assorted Seasonal Fruit Platter
Tortilla de Patatas (Php340) – Spanish Omelette with Potatoes and Onions
Champurrado (Php380) – Puffed Rice and Venezuelan Chocolate Porridge, Dulce de Leche, Bacalao Flakes and Milk
This dish is truly comforting. I grew up having this bowl almost everyday and I must say that Barcino’s style is still truly Pinoy. Instead of using Tuyo, they used Bacalao Flakes which was chewy and had just the right saltiness in it.
Desayuno Arroz Caldo (Php480) – Porridge with Chicken , Ginger, Cracklings, Saffron and Roasted Chicken Inasal
This is one of their pride as the Chef won an award for this dish on an international event. It tasted really delicious. The rice was cooked perfectly as it had a little bite back. Chicken was juicy still. I just thought it was a bit salty for my taste.
Desayuno Andaluz (Php600) – Toasted Bread with Jamon, Fresh Tomatoes and Olive Oil
This is already one heavy breakfast to me. The Jamon and Toasted Bread is perfect for carbo-loading that you needed in the morning.
Desayuno Pancake (Php450) – Fluffy Pancakes with Whipped Strawberry Butter, Maple Syrup and Lemon Curd
Huevos Revueltos (Php350) – Scrambled Egg served on Toast with a side of Roasted Potatoes and Tomatoes
Desayuno will open to the public on November 24, 2018. Serving time is from 7AM – 11AM every Friday to Sunday exclusive to Barcino Santolan Town Plaza. Reservations are highly recommended for an 8AM or 10AM slot as they only have limited seating. Limited slots will be available for walk-ins starting at 7AM.
