Charaptor – grill all you can

Grill all you want! If you want great bonding with family or friends over dinner, Charaptor offers unlimited grill from fish, pork, beef, seafood, vegetables and chicken.   It’s the grilling activity and the excitement of grilling aside from eating that I am so fond of. If you do not know what sauces to put on for basting on your meat, they have put up a sign so you would know which one to choose and which is a good pair. I tried Honey Soy sauce on my chicken, and it tasted really good. They also offer cooked food as

Mudpie Heaven – decadents cakes and coffee

This little haven is located in Circuit, Makati. I super love the ambiance, relaxing and cozy. Perfect to have your morning cup of coffee or even on rainy days. We tried their Tiramisu and Mississippi Mud Pie.  Both cake tasted good however, I just find the cake frozen which made it a bit bland.  We need to wait a bit for the ice to melt. But overall, it’s definitely worth a try.  I surely be back to try other dishes aside from their cakes. Address: Second Floor, Circuit Lane, Circuit Makati, A.P. Reyes Street, Olympia, Makati City

Yo! Panda – quirky Asian dishes

It’s my first time to visit Yo! Panda and I will say this is definitely not my last.  Yo! Panda offers Asian dishes with fusion from different cuisines.  As the logo, you can see an Afro Panda with eyeglasses and chopsticks on its hair. It’s a hip Panda that tries to capture the hearts of the young and young at heart. As starters we tried: Shrimp and Cheese Balls Topped with Stripped Pork with Japanese Mayo Dip or Soy Dip (290 Php) – Anything Shrimp is my favorite. And Cheese?! Aah! This is definitely one of my favorite dish here.

Tu’s Clay Pots and Skillets – my favorite in Westgate

A hidden gem in Westgate Center, Alabang. Tu’s offers comfort food great to share with family and friends. From Pot Pie’s to Salad, to Steak, everything we had was spectacular in taste and in style. For the ambiance, wooden decor was really an eye-candy. The chopped woods as a wall made the place relaxing. Even the stairs to the second floor added that homey vibe. Here’s what I recommend you should try on your visit: Tuna Salad with Raspberry Vinaigrette – All shades of greens with Raspberry, fried tortilla topped with Tuna chunks. This is what I truly suggest you

Baker & Cook – pastries and more…

Baker & Cook recently opened in S Maison. I liked that they offer free bread and spread samples which you get to munch while finalizing what you will order. I really did enjoy their Brownie only 85PHP. Here’s what we had during our visit. A must try: The very famous Chocolate Lamington. – The soft and fluffy chocolate sponge cake rolled in grated coconut. Perfect pair for your brewed coffee. They now have Perfect Parings which I think is such a brilliant idea so they may get to showcase their cakes and breads paired with brewed coffee. Bagel and Coffee,

Plank Sourdough Pizza is a newly opened Pizza parlor in S Maison that originated in Singapore. Located at the back of Baker & Cook, they have colorful wooden decors everywhere. I like the fact that they have open kitchen where in you can watch them make your food.   We get to try their Pizza Bundle and Meaty Deals during the visit. Bundle 1: Pizza #0 (Red Sauce Mozzarella Pepperoni) + Lychee & Walnut Salad + 4 bone ribs + Rice P995 The Mozzarella Pepperoni Pizza tasted so good.  The dough was crisp.  Sourdough played a good part in having

Good news for health-conscious people, Italianni’s offers a Season of Salad. More reason to be fit and be healthy. We get to try five flavors during our visit. Peach Mango Insalata – Fresh Romaine and Arugula tossed in Balsamic dressing. Topped with Ripe Mangoes, Peach and Pancetta. I was not able to taste any Peach though but I didn’t mind since I was busy with the Pancetta. It was crispy and tasted well with the greens. Lychee Grapes Insalata – Fruits, Walnuts and Greens tossed in Honey Balsamic. Love the sweetness of Lychee and Grapes in this salad. If you

Ka Tunying’s Cafe – so far, the best Pancit I’ve had

This is it.  The best Pancit. I’ve always been a fan of Pancit whether Bihon, Canton or Sotanghon.  I though Chinese makes the best Pancit there is but I was wrong until I had one at Ka Tunying’s Cafe in Timog. Located in front of GMA, at Caswynn Building, Timog, the place is easy to catch as it has a huge singnage of the name.  Ambiance was homey too.  When you enter, different kinds of breads are available as well as they are known to have a Bakery in Nueva Ecija. For starters, we get to try their Cheese Bread.  Soft

I’ve always liked Vikings since I’ve tried it way back 2000ish.  I really can’t remember but my husband always make sure he brings me here on my birthday.  Well, that is because the celebrant get to eat free with just one paying adult. Niu by Vikings has an elegant set up and is at par with restaurants in hotels.  They have elegant chandeliers and comfortable huge couches too. I was amaze with the amount of dishes they offer but my favorite would be the Japanese station.  I don’t know but I always make sure I get that Tempura on my

Bolinao, Pangasinan – what to do and where to go

We visited Bolinao 2 years ago.  This is obviously not updated but I will still share with you what we did during the trip. From Manila, we rode a bus going to Alaminos.  Then from Alaminos going to Bolinao. Aside from the beach, there’s a lot of side trip to do here as well.  We visited Cape Bolinao which was built by the Americans in 1903. Also, we visited the Enchanted Cave.  I remembered this was what I enjoyed most during the entire trip.  Mainly because of the laid-back atmosphere of this place.  Aside from the cave, There’a pool you can

Royal Indian Curry House (RICH) – the best Indian food in Makati

Easily located in the super busy street of Poblacion, Makati. The place is beside A-venue so you do not have an excuse not to see it. The staff were accommodating but they kind of had a bit of commotion during our stay. Probably because of a banquet reservation which made them busy. The ambiance is very cozy. Our are was well lit as we’re near the window. Perfect for food photography. For the food, my personal favorite would be: Masala Papad – It’s like a very thin version of their tortilla chips topped with finely chopped fresh tomato, onions and

Tim Ho Wan – flavors of Chinese food that I love

Well, I love Chinese food a lot and living near Binondo made me no amateur when it comes to its taste.  I can say that I liked their Chow Mien Stir Fried Noodles.  It was well seasoned topped with Sesame Seeds.  It was flavorful. The Beancurd Skin Roll with Pork and Shrimp was a bit gooey.  I didn’t enjoy this dish that much. What I liked the most was the Pork Dumpling with Shrimp and Prawn Dumpling though.  Of course, it’s a given that a Chinese Restaurant must serve good dumpling and they did that pretty well. Their Chicken Sausage

Llao Llao’s Frozen Yogurt – one of the best Yogurt for me

I super love their Frozen Yogurt.  Even without the toppings, it was heavenly.  It wasn’t that creamy but sourly addicting.  I asked them what’s the best seller and they said it was the Milk Chocolate and I gave it a try and it was indeed good. The Fruits of the Forest tasted just like Blueberry. The chocolate was great too.  I think it was Dark Chocolate for it has its bitter taste a bit. But I did enjoy the Milk Chocolate more. Address: Ground Floor, Glorietta 2, Glorietta Complex, Makati City

Ask for it to be cooked the way you wanted and will it be delivered to your table smoking hot. I also love their Shrimp Tempura. It’s so good after a minute of being refilled it’s gone again. It’s so crispy and delicious. Maki Stations are the best here too. This restaurant is easy to find.  Just right at the side of Promenade.  Ambiance was well lit.  It was cozy and a bit industrial. It was cooked medium rare and it’s just perfect. What I love most is the crispy bits on top. Just kinda like bacon but this one is much healthier. Rice was cooked with its own oil that is why their steak

We supposedly need not to worry about our Wedding Cake as it include in a package from our caterer (2 tier). We already found a design we wanted but as per my Husband’s meeting with them, they cannot promise to copy the cake we wanted.  So, I decided to find a supplier that will somehow create our dream wedding cake. We wanted a Gothic, Dark and Sophisticated all Black cake as this will reflect our personality.  I know, as a tradition, the cake should reflect the woman’s personality that is why most bride’s cakes are white, neat and all that.  The

I remember painting when I was a kid.  I painted a rose which I can’t really recall if it looked like a rose. 😀 But I remember, I somehow know how to use a brush as my father was an artist. When my manager planned an activity at Sip and Gogh, I was excited and worried at the same time.  I never finished a single painting in my life. The house rules are just simple.  This activity is meant for you to enjoy.  As the instructor said, just laugh and have fun.- Yeah! Laugh at your ignorance. 😀 The tools:

We ordered their Boneless Bites in Hickory Smoked Barbecue sauce and Texas-Style Fries.  Both tasted good. Coffee Bean And Tea Leaf

I hate to compare, but the Ensaymada here was bad.  I thought it can be compared with the one in Starbucks but no.  It was a disaster. There was no cheese inside.  No margarine on top that would melt.  Just dry cheese and almost burnt because it was microwaved. Good thing the Double Chocolate was a hit for me. Also, they could have labelled the coffee on the paper cup, not on the lid.  It does not look pretty even if the pen was purple.

I have to say that this year’s line up for Wanderland was so overwhelming.  I mean, it got all the feels… From Panama to The Naked and Famous to Bon Iver and Death Cab For Cutie.  But my long awaited and favorite performance for the night would have to be Bon Iver’s and DCFC’s.  They’re just so amazing live. When we came in, Bon Iver’s already making everyone cry.  Seriously, the girls in-front of me sobbing to each other and I can’t blame them.  Justin Vernon, really is such an amazing artist that you will either cry, or be stun or be amaze and just be lost

I find their menu so artistic too.  Very poetic. Kinda like a riddle. You’ll be surprised if you don’t know what you’re going to get. Unfortunately, the service was so slow.  We just ordered Frozen Iced Tea and Nachos and this took about half an hour. The Nacho was just ok.
