La Fiesta

La Fiesta

Ambiance is gorgeous. It was well lit. Staff are busy but attendant to your needs. Food is great. What I love most is their Crab. Ask for it to be cooked the way you wanted and will it be delivered to your table smoking hot. I also love their Shrimp Tempura. It’s so good after a minute of being refilled it’s gone again. It’s so crispy and delicious. Maki Stations are the best here too. Filipino food like Kalderetang Kambing, Crispy Pata, Lechon are delectable too.     Their refreshments like Watermelon and Chocolate Shake tasted well too. And the

The place here in Mezza is a bit small.  There are a lot of people when we came in.  Staff were busy so I understand that they weren’t able to give me a glass of water when I asked once.  Had to asked for it twice.   I ordered Aka Chasumen and it’s so delicious.  I was a bit hesitant to order this as it really looks so spicy but turns out, it’s not ‘very’ spicy at all.  It has the right spicy kick that will leave you wanting to sip more.   Noodles were Al Dente.  Pork was tender

North Park

Loved their Brocolli in Oyster Sauce.  The vegetable was fresh which I loved. The Oyster Sauce was a bit sweet for my taste.  Yang Chow Fried Rice was good paired with Lechon Macau. The soup tasted so salty. Tea was great. Ambiance of North Park here in Convergys was well lit and spacious.  Tends to be jam-packed during lunch though.   Address: Convergy’s Building, Ayala Avenue Corner H.V. Dela Costa Street, Legaspi Village, Makati City

Hai Chix and Steak

Hai Chix and Steak

This restaurant is easy to find.  Just right at the side of Promenade.  Ambiance was well lit.  It was cozy and a bit industrial. For the food, just like the name, they serve mostly Steak and Hainanese Chicken.  Here’s what we had: -Porterhouse good for 3 for P3,250 Very tasty. The butter with it smelled and tasted so good. It was cooked medium rare and it’s just perfect. What I love most is the crispy bits on top. Just kinda like bacon but this one is much healthier. Rice was cooked with its own oil that is why their steak

Wedding Cake

Wedding Cake

We supposedly need not to worry about our Wedding Cake as it include in a package from our caterer (2 tier). We already found a design we wanted but as per my Husband’s meeting with them, they cannot promise to copy the cake we wanted.  So, I decided to find a supplier that will somehow create our dream wedding cake. We wanted a Gothic, Dark and Sophisticated all Black cake as this will reflect our personality.  I know, as a tradition, the cake should reflect the woman’s personality that is why most bride’s cakes are white, neat and all that.  The

The Penthouse 8747

This place is located in Makati, perfect for a night out after work hours. It has an elegant vibe as it was inspired by 1930’s Art Deco ala Great Gatsby. Located at the rooftop lounge, you can see the magnificent view of Makati at night. Definitely a stress reliever while having a good drinks. They also have a band on selected days. When it comes to food, they also offer delectable dishes as well as to their drinks. Starting with their Golden Crab Cakes: it has Fresh Blue Crab Meat with Sriracha Remoulade Sauce. Fried to perfection with a bit

Sip and Gogh

Sip and Gogh

I remember painting when I was a kid.  I painted a rose which I can’t really recall if it looked like a rose. 😀 But I remember, I somehow know how to use a brush as my father was an artist. When my manager planned an activity at Sip and Gogh, I was excited and worried at the same time.  I never finished a single painting in my life. The house rules are just simple.  This activity is meant for you to enjoy.  As the instructor said, just laugh and have fun.- Yeah! Laugh at your ignorance. 😀 The tools:

Getting Married

It’s been awhile since I’ve last posted an entry here on my blog.  I think my excuse is valid since I’ve been busy with my wedding preparations for the past month. Oh! I miss blogging a lot. I will try my best to post more specially now that I have a lot to share to you as I am also preparing for motherhood. I’m so excited! 😀 Here’s me and my husband during our wedding last September 17, 2016. More stories and photo’s to follow, I promise! 😀 It’s also our 10th Anniversary today… Time flies so fast…

Wingstop

This place is located in Circuit, Makati.  You can’t go wrong in this place.  There’s a lot of restaurants to choose from.  But for now, we wanted a quick bite as we’re attending Wanderland Music Festival that night. The ambiance was very industrial.  I like the interiors and how the tables and chairs are presented. We ordered their Boneless Bites in Hickory Smoked Barbecue sauce and Texas-Style Fries.  Both tasted good. They served my food just in time which was 13 minutes, as what was promised. The Chicken was tender and very very tasty.  It was too small though.  I didn’t

Coffee Bean And Tea Leaf

Coffee Bean And Tea Leaf

I hate to compare, but the Ensaymada here was bad.  I thought it can be compared with the one in Starbucks but no.  It was a disaster. There was no cheese inside.  No margarine on top that would melt.  Just dry cheese and almost burnt because it was microwaved. Good thing the Double Chocolate was a hit for me. Also, they could have labelled the coffee on the paper cup, not on the lid.  It does not look pretty even if the pen was purple

Wanderland Music and Arts Festival

Wanderland Music and Arts Festival

I have to say that this year’s line up for Wanderland was so overwhelming.  I mean, it got all the feels… From Panama to The Naked and Famous to Bon Iver and Death Cab For Cutie.  But my long awaited and favorite performance for the night would have to be Bon Iver’s and DCFC’s.  They’re just so amazing live. When we came in, Bon Iver’s already making everyone cry.  Seriously, the girls in-front of me sobbing to each other and I can’t blame them.  Justin Vernon, really is such an amazing artist that you will either cry, or be stun or be amaze and just be lost

When Uan Met Sally

When Uan Met Sally

I love this place.  Its quaint and unique design is very relaxing.  They also have a boutique which sells very unique clothes, bags, accessories, etc. There’s a door that will lead you to the restaurant.  I just love the ambiance of this place.  Very homey, relaxing and just lovely. I find their menu so artistic too.  Very poetic. Kinda like a riddle. You’ll be surprised if you don’t know what you’re going to get. Unfortunately, the service was so slow.  We just ordered Frozen Iced Tea and Nachos and this took about half an hour. The Nacho was just ok.

The Breakfast Table

Was a bit disappointed as we’re not assisted by the waiters when we first came in. We arrived right before the couple behind us but they were able to sit in first. We had to wait for about an hour to get in.   Anyways,  the ambiance is very homey.  There’s a lot of plants everywhere, unique lampshades and vases.  I like that it was well lit too. The food we had was just so so. The serving was small for me for its price. The Egg Benny was ok. Nothing much to brag about. The Fritata was not that

Aracama

I love the ambiance of this place and it’s good to know there’s band playing from Mondays – Thursdays. I think they start at 9:30pm. I will definitely try the lounge area soon and invite some of my friends. First floor is very sophisticated, chic and cozy. Good for family set up while second floor is more roomy with lots of tables arranged for groups. The bar area is located Al fresco where the stage is placed     Aracama showcased their own version of Filipino Food. Here’s what we tried: Malunggay Mozarella Dip I enjoyed munching on this too much.

GoodVybes Fest

waThis is probably one of the best night of my 2016 ever.  I was so delighted to attend the GoodVybes Festival last February 20th.  I was just so thrilled I’d get to watch Chvrches and Passion Pit in one concert.  Felt a bit sad as I was not able to catch Stars as I arrived late. (but damn, their set was too early) Traffic was really bad as always in this country of course. 🙁 but I’m hoping I’ll be able to see them again.  This was their second visit. Hopefully, there’s a third one. When we arrived, Oh Wonder was already performing and I’m giddy as I

PuNta

PuNta is such a nice place to hang out.  The location is very easy to find.  Located in Mandala Park, Shaw Blvd.  Live bands every night, no door charge, generous space for parking, great food and drinks and the price? Totally affordable. I like the vibe of this place.  There’s more room to dine as they have 4 options.  The Al Fresco, The Sunken Lounge, VIP and the dining area.  Walking on a red carpet once you enter, it felt like you’re kinda a celebrity or probably because there’s just the owner Paolo Bediones who welcomed us very warmly.  While

While looking for a place to have dinner one night, I decided to try this place probably because I’m already familiar with restaurants nearby. This one is new here and I’m so eager to try the very appealing Fried Pork with Jack Daniel’s. It was good but I was not able to taste any Jack Daniel’s in it.  I thought it’s going to have much kick to it if they add just a tad bit more.  The steam veggies was delicious.  It was crunchy and that’s how I wanted my veggies be cooked. Their  Salted Caramel Milkshake, this one is too

Coron, Palawan 2015

Coron, Palawan 2015

Finally, I can tick this off my list.  I’ve been to El Nido couple of years ago and since then, I’ve been so eager to visit this place just so I would know the difference of both places and what they offer. First of, we knew we made a mistake of booking a hotel 2 hours away from town proper. We’re stuck and can’t do anything except play board games or eat or sleep. But for me, it’s not a bad decision at all. …because you won’t get this type of view anywhere in Coron town proper.  Our stay at

Pablo’s Pub and Restaurant

Was invited by Zomato for another foodie meet up.  And this time to try Pablo’s Pub and Restaurant new burger menu. Here’s what we had that night: Spicy Chicken Tenders – I can’t stop munching on this one. It’s spicy but sweet and you’re kind of wondering what it is really and you don’t really know and then it’s just gone leaving you wanting some more. Yes! It’s complicatedly delicious! And the sour cream made this dish even more unforgettable. Pablo’s Chicharon Bulaklak – I can’t remember the last time I had this because I’m not really into this kind

Boracay 2015

I visited Boracay this year without really planning to.  A friend bought ticket for me already.  I could not say no. I’ve been here just last year but you know what they say, it’s different everytime.  It was interesting because it’s my first time going there via ferry.  I  always go here via plane and this time, we’re bound to Batangas Port and that took probably about 10 hours. From Buendia, after shift, we headed straight to Batangas Pier. We left Friday night at 11pm and we arrived in Caticlan around 8am.  Not bad.  We’re there Saturday morning. Sun is up

C’ Italian Dining

When being asked, “What is that one food you can eat everyday for the rest of your life?” I would always say Pizza.  But after visiting C’ Italian,  it recently changed to “Rolls Royce Panizza” 😀 The ambiance of C’ Italian is quite intimidating but trust me they’re not.  The restaurant owners even the waiters are really cool and very accommodating. I love all the food we had here.  Starting with their complimentary Ciabatta bread which is home baked. It comes with Pesto and cheese in olive oil as dip. Very delicious. Followed by the Panizza which originated by this

Kalinga and Meeting Whang-Od

About 12 office mates and I planned about visiting Baguio but for some reason, they did not push through and that didn’t happen.  Probably because of the weather back then.  We already bought tickets and we figured we will just go there even if there’s just two of us left.  I just don’t want to waste my vacation leave being stuck at home.  So, we looked for a cab bound to Cubao going Baguio when we saw our office mates, I actually don’t know them personally but my colleague is friends with them.  They have this huge bag too.  I know

Lazy Bastard

My friends and I decided to try this place for some snack.  We thought it’s hard to find but not really.  Once you see this sign in Jupiter St. cor Galaxy, it’s a spot on. It’s in a basement actually. Lazy Bastard is a pretty small place but it looks nice and ambiance is really good. Very New York style vibe. For our food, we had some Hamburgers (160), Sloppy Joe (150) and I had myself some Bacon Cheeseburger (220).  I love Bacon a lot so, I really have to try it.  For the sides though, I like their Onion
