Starlite Ferry – new route directly to Caticlan

Starlite Ferry – new route directly to Caticlan

If you know me well, you’d know that I am fond of being on the water and that I’m frequently on an island.  I love going to the beaches and swim in the water as it calms my soul.  One Island that is special to me would be Boracay.  This place is so memorable as this is the Island that I’ve been coming back to whenever I have a chance.  I’ve been here with my family, my friends, my husband and soon I want to bring my daughter here, too.  You know what they say,  it’s always different every time.

Hotel Jen – a quick family staycation

Hotel Jen – a quick family staycation

We recently stayed at Hotel Jen and I find it one of the most accessible hotels in the Metro.  It’s location is perfect for tourists as it’s near almost all the attractions that they would truly find interesting about the country such as Luneta Park, National Museum, Old Churches in Malate and more. Check-in process was very smooth. In less than 10 minutes, they were able to give me a room.  I also like that they greeted my with a smile and gave me a warm welcome. The moment I stepped in,  I was impressed by how it looks as

La Union – what we did in just a day

La Union – what we did in just a day

Via Bus: It was my first time in La Union and I’m all giddy as to where to eat and explore.  We do not have any itinerary. We all just wanted to have a fun weekend. We only stayed for a day. Make that 2 days and 1 night.  I strongly suggest to book your ticket at Partas ahead of time. Do not be like us. We’re all like “don’t worry, it’s not a long weekend.” 🙂 So we’re all off to Pasay and waited for the departure at 12 midnight. Yes, you can still book your tickets here, just make

Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar – what you need to know

Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar – what you need to know

Visited this majestic place last month.  The commute here was not that complicated as what we read through online blogs. Probably because it is now famous and a lot of people are excited to be in this place. First of, we road a bus from Pasay, Genesis Liner bound to Balanga, Bataan.  This travel took us about 2 – 3 hours.  Then at Balanga Terminal, you may ride a Jeepney going straight to Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar.  Fare is 70 pesos. This travel time took us about half an hour. If you have more questions about the place, send

Bolinao, Pangasinan – what to do and where to go

Bolinao, Pangasinan – what to do and where to go

We visited Bolinao 2 years ago.  This is obviously not updated but I will still share with you what we did during the trip. From Manila, we rode a bus going to Alaminos.  Then from Alaminos going to Bolinao. Aside from the beach, there’s a lot of side trip to do here as well.  We visited Cape Bolinao which was built by the Americans in 1903. Also, we visited the Enchanted Cave.  I remembered this was what I enjoyed most during the entire trip.  Mainly because of the laid-back atmosphere of this place.  Aside from the cave, There’a pool you can

Coron, Palawan 2015

Coron, Palawan 2015

Finally, I can tick this off my list.  I’ve been to El Nido couple of years ago and since then, I’ve been so eager to visit this place just so I would know the difference of both places and what they offer. First of, we knew we made a mistake of booking a hotel 2 hours away from town proper. We’re stuck and can’t do anything except play board games or eat or sleep. But for me, it’s not a bad decision at all. …because you won’t get this type of view anywhere in Coron town proper.  Our stay at

Boracay 2015

Boracay 2015

I visited Boracay this year without really planning to.  A friend bought ticket for me already.  I could not say no. I’ve been here just last year but you know what they say, it’s different everytime.  It was interesting because it’s my first time going there via ferry.  I  always go here via plane and this time, we’re bound to Batangas Port and that took probably about 10 hours. From Buendia, after shift, we headed straight to Batangas Pier. We left Friday night at 11pm and we arrived in Caticlan around 8am.  Not bad.  We’re there Saturday morning. Sun is up

Kalinga and Meeting Whang-Od

Kalinga and Meeting Whang-Od

About 12 office mates and I planned about visiting Baguio but for some reason, they did not push through and that didn’t happen.  Probably because of the weather back then.  We already bought tickets and we figured we will just go there even if there’s just two of us left.  I just don’t want to waste my vacation leave being stuck at home.  So, we looked for a cab bound to Cubao going Baguio when we saw our office mates, I actually don’t know them personally but my colleague is friends with them.  They have this huge bag too.  I know
