Gen Korean BBQ House – quality premium meat and more

Korean Barbecue has been springing up like mushrooms in the metro lately. With all the flavorful meat and different side dishes, no wonder it’s now the top favorite cuisine here in the country.  But Gen Korean BBQ House came all the way from California. The first branch outside the US is located in SM by the Bay.  With top notch ambiance and interiors,

With almost 100 tables that can accommodate up to 500 guests, this place is huge and is perfect to throw a party but can also be enjoyed with an intimate date too.

Lucky for us, as we get to try different flavored meat marinated straight from the US. With over 35 Premium US Meat and Seafood, now seriously, that’s a lot.  Fresh meats were marinated and then shipped from to Manila.

Lunch price is at Php 798+ during weekdays from 11am to 4PM.
Dinner is at PHP 1,288+ from 4PM to closing (12MN) on weekends.

For the Samgyupsal, here, it was thick and were marinated in Cajun Sauce, Smoked, Garlic and Red wine.

My favorite of all.  The Yangyum Galbi (Short Ribs).  It was so tender and the flavor permeates the meat.  It was so so good.

Another favorite would be this Beef Bulgogi.  The thin sliced beef was covered in onions, garlic and spring onions.  It was tasty!

This Cajun Chicken looked ready to eat but still need to sit on the grill. It was a rightly spiced.  It was not too spicy so do not be deceive by its color.  Be sure to cook it right for you to still have it juicy. Don’t be like me. I tend to overcook as I enjoy eating. 😀

Look at that beautiful spread! I suggest you bring in your appetite when you do your visit as they surely have so many flavorful meat that you do not want to miss.

What better way to wash all the fats away but with a glass of wine.

My thoughts:

Gen Korean BBQ House would be one of my favorites Korean Restaurant to date.  They offer scrumptious meats and side dishes but you know what I missed? The Gyeran Jjim (Steamed Egg). I’m not sure if they have one and it won’t hurt if you ask.

Staff will make sure you do not overcooked your meat.  They will immediately replace your grill when necessary. Water will be refilled in no time. They are that attentive.

For the price, I’m sure there are lots that’s more cheaper but think about the quality meat.  They are more affordable in my opinion.

Can’t wait to celebrate my birthday here soon. 🙂
