If you’re into Japanese sushi and happens to be in the south, by now, you should know that Sushi Ninja is one of that best that offers authentic Japanese experience.

It’s interesting as the name was derived from the mobile game, Fruit Ninja. Just like the game, this restaurant sure offers fun and appetizing food on your plate. The presentation is an eye-catcher on every dish. Staff were attentive during our visit. The ambiance is small and tends to be crowded at peak hours so make sure to have your tables reserved if you’re in big group.

Spicy Tuna Salad (Php360)- Tuna chunks with spicy mayo, negi, and tempura flakes sprinkled with shredded nori

The Tuna Sashimi was indeed fresh and soft. It has the right amount of spiciness on every spoonful and the tempura flakes added some texture to the dish.

Mixed Poke (Php350) – Raw Tuna and Salmon cut into cubes. So fresh that it kinda melts in your mouth.

Okinawa Toshi (Php380)- Torched salmon and cream cheese topped with truffle oil, special sauce and ebiko

Whether its seared or torches, still this Okinawa Toshi definitely one of their strongest dishes. This is actually my personal favorite and would order every time.

Shinjuku Maki (Php510) Spicy Tuna, unagi, tamago, deep fried and topped with kani, ebiko, Japanese Mayo, special sauce and black sesame seeds

It’s really mouthful.  I love that they do not scrimp on ingredients here. The layers of flavors and texture in it really blends well with the I must say that every sushi were to really good in taste and in its presentation as well.

Sukiyaki (Php600) – hot pot filled with ribeye meat,  noodles, tofu and mixed vegetables

IMG_3088

This is indeed one tasty pot.  The meat was tender and noodles were firm and other vegetables were cooked perfectly.  I would love to have this in a cold weather.

We were also sampled new items on the menu.  The Crispy Salmon Skin Tacos. We tried three kinds:

Hikaru Tacos (Php295/3pcs) – unagi, kani, ebiko, negi, spicy tuna, sushi rice

IMG_3111

Tomo (Php260/3pcs) – unagi, shredded tamago, roasted black sesame seed, sushi rice.

Miho (Php230/3pcs) – Spicy tuna, kani , cream cheese, sushi rice, & ebiko

I find the tacos to be real crispy, however, I thought its way too salty for my taste.

Leon’s Sushi Burger (Php700) – ebiko, unagi, tuna sashimi, kani, japanese mayo, topped with some crispy bacon

Another favorite. Imagine crisp rice as a bun and sushi all the way inside it.

Sushi Ninja is definitely one of my top favorite when it comes to Sushis.  They have traditional and modern way of spicing things up.  Go visit them soon if you haven’t.
