Vanderlust -A story in every bite

Vanderlust -A story in every bite

I’m so amazed by the way Vanderlust was born.  This is a passion project out of intense desire for adventure, zeal for food, curiosity of the unknown, and love between a husband and a wife Mark Anthony and Valerie Spencer. The idea began in 2013 during their honeymoon in Europe. They spent a month going from one European city to another.  They brought their favorite dishes here in the country so others may experience them. Mark Anthony along with celebrity Chef Mitchie Sison worked so hard for the recipe.  They wanted it to be as close as possible with what they had

All American Trading Co. – new place to enjoy pizza and more…

We recently visited All Home in Las Pinas and one of the restaurants inside is All American Trading Co.  They specializes in American dishes such as huge pizza slices, buffalo chicken and more. I am so impressed by the look of the place as it has a lot of space.  It’s almost half the entire 2nd floor of the building.  I am also digging the wooden tables and chairs along with the light bulbs that hanging on the ceiling.  It added not just lights but a feel of warmth because of yellow hue.   All American currently has a Pizza-rrific Bundles promotion.

Sup? Chow – a Western take on Asian dishes

A Western take on Asian dishes.  This is what Chef Francis Lim promises as he levels up our local ingredients and makes it not only sophisticated in taste but also in appearance. This new restaurant located in Antel Building in Makati might be a little hard to see but I tell you that you should find your way to it on its second floor.  This will open up a door to Asian dishes with extraordinary twists. Ambiance itself is a mixture of Western and Asian vibe already, from wooden tables to steel chairs.  Pendant lights that burst warmth to the

Buona Vita Ristorante Italiano – offers authentic affordable Italian buffet

Buona Vita Ristorante Italiano owned by German national Mr.  Thomas Moersheim. They’ve been around since 2009 but had to do some major renovations on 2012. He shared his knowledge with us about Italian food and his love for it and I must say, that even though he’s not Italian, he definitely know a lot about their food. He said that Pizza originated in Greece and that Italian Napoli picked it up and they were able to sell more of it. They recently renovated the place to give it a fresher look and I must say that the did a pretty

Papa Kim’s Korean Bakery & Coffee – more than just a bakeshop

I received an email invite from Papa Kim’s Korean Bakery & Coffee.   As you know, I am so into Korean food so I was really glad that I’d be able to try what they offer.  They not just offer pastries and breads, they also have Pasta, Sandwiches, Rice Bowls and more. Papa Kim’s Korean Bakery & Coffee has three branches, the first one in Antipolo, where they freshly bake all their breads and cakes, and the other one’s in Tomas Morato.  I went here to their Banawe branch instead. It’s a two-storey building that can accommodate at least 50 to

Puzzles – board games and delicious food choices

Puzzles is a café/restaurant with fun board games to make your dining experience interactive. This was not my first time as I already tried other restaurants with the same theme. But with Puzzles, I like that it’s cozier and chill than the others I’ve tried. You can play any board games and if by chance you needed someone to explain the mechanics, you may call their Game Master who willingly can assist you on how to play. For the food, here’s what we tried: Puzzles Nachos (Php380) – It has lots of toppings such as Jalapeno, seasoned Ground Beef, Cilantro,

Cafe Havana – not just a bar, they offer lunch buffet, too

It was a news to me when I found out that Cafe Havana has been around for 16 long years and is actually the first Cuban Bar in the country. All these years, I thought they’re only a bar but they’re actually a restaurant too. Cafe Havana is also a well know bar internationally. There’s a cigar room in this place as well. They do their food the Cuban style of cooking as it was simple in concept but complex in flavor.  Most of the food were sauteed or slow-cooked over a slow flame and relies on spice staples such as

Lorenzo’s Way – a tribute to Mr. Larry J. Cruz

Larry Jay Cruz was a journalist, a publisher and a restaurateur. Just like us, he loved food and the feeling of happiness it brings when sharing it with loved ones.  Lorenzo’s Way is actually a tribute to him being the man behind the finest restaurants in the country for over quarter of a century. This is my first time to try Lorenzo’s Way.  I was impressed with the coziness of the place. Colors of Orange, Brown and White dominated the room.  The wooden walls and furniture made it look more vintage yet modern. They serve mostly Spanish and Filipino cuisines.

Zomato10 – sharing is the best way to celebate

I’ve been doing restaurant reviews with Zomato for almost 4 years now.  As you know, I love to take photos of food and other stuff, too as much as I love to eat.  With that, I frequently check Zomato’s website to check restaurant reviews and prices.  I could say that I relied on it as the reviews were from real people who shared their experiences.  All the information on a restaurant would be available there.  So, with having no more space on my phone one day, that’s when I started to write a review to give room on my phone.
